I talk honestly and openly about my experiences with mental illness, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome through the lens of feminism, fat acceptance and process theology. I also do recipe and book reviews. My mission is to spread the message that hope is always real for a better life, despite living in a world that is often very harsh.

A cautionary note about labels!

In my first blog I used many labels to describe myself ("schizoaffective disorder," "feminist," "lesbian," etc.), but I think it is important for us all to remember that people are complex beings who in reality are always more than a mere label. Unfortunately, words are all we have to describe ourselves and while they can be quite powerful, they are still symbols that cannot ever fully describe one's true essence.
