I talk honestly and openly about my experiences with mental illness, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome through the lens of feminism, fat acceptance and process theology. I also do recipe and book reviews. My mission is to spread the message that hope is always real for a better life, despite living in a world that is often very harsh.

Psalm 44

Growing up, we heard
Your miracle-stories,
But now that we are grown,
We look around and see
No miracles anywhere.
What happened?!

Conventional wisdom be damned!-
The good do not always prosper
And the bad do not always die.
Sometimes I think I should
Sing my praises to Chance.

I feel forgotten.
We are lying naked
And vulnerable
And like a coward,
You remain hidden.

Where are Your promises?
Where are Your miracles?
Send me comfort,
Send me love;
Redeem me with Your grace.
