I talk honestly and openly about my experiences with mental illness, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome through the lens of feminism and process theology. I also do recipe and book reviews. My mission is to spread the message that hope is always real, despite living in a world that is often very harsh.

Keep Calm and Love Yourself
Today is day nine of the Health Activist Writer's Challenge and I had to create my own propaganda poster. The original poster was created for Britain during World War II and said "Keep Calm and Carry On." Create your own or take a look at the original by going here. Keep calm and love yourself amidst the stigma of mental illness and addiction. And during the times when you cannot remain calm? Love yourself anyway.
I am a busy person! I am very involved with my church, Circle of Grace-the only Christian feminist congregation in the United States-and with NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness-the largest grassroots mental illness advocacy group in the nation. I try to treat others the way I want to be treated and hope that others will do the same.
